Johannes Stermann, born in Hamburg, began his musical path as a chorister. He studied voice in Munich, as well as law, passing the bar exam. Since first rôle as Osmin (Abduction) in a Conservatory production, he has been heard at Dresden’s Semperoper, La Scala, Opéra de Lyon, sang an Ochs (Rosenkavalier) in Santiago de Chile, and subsequently most of the important rôles of his Fach in Magdeburg, where he joined the Ensemble in 2012.
