Reid Bunger
The American bass-baritone Reid Bunger studied singing at Texas Christian University. Later, his path led him to Austria, where he sang 58 roles in five languages in more than 1700 performances during 20 years at the Vienna State Opera and was also honored as a „Kammersänger.“ He toured extensively throughout the USA and Europe. He was a guest at the Bayreuth Festival and also performed in Japan and Australia. In the 1980s he returned to Texas and worked as a music pedagogue, only occasionally returning to the opera stage.
